Students in Fashion and Textiles 1 are weaving together creativity, patience, and skill in their latest hands-on project! Through this activity, students are learning the fundamentals of weaving, including pattern design, color selection, tension control, and following step-by-step processes.
This project encourages problem-solving, fine motor skills, and perseverance as students work carefully strand by strand to bring their designs to life. Each piece is unique and reflects individual creativity, while also building a strong foundation in textile concepts used throughout the fashion and design industry.

🌍 English I Honors students worked in small groups to read and analyze four creation stories from different parts of the world. Through thoughtful discussion, students identified similarities across cultures and time periods, exploring how these stories reflect shared beliefs, values, and questions about human existence. They then reflected on why these common themes are significant and what they may reveal about humanity, connection, and our understanding of the world.

Our Foods 1 students rolled into the holiday spirit yesterday!
They created homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch, learning valuable hands-on skills in measuring, mixing, kneading, and baking. This activity wasn’t just delicious—it was educational, helping students understand the science behind yeast dough and the importance of following multi-step recipes.
Working together in the kitchen also encouraged teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. The warm aroma of cinnamon and sugar filled the room, making the experience feel extra cozy and perfect for the Christmas season.
We’re proud of their hard work—and even prouder of how they support one another as they learn!
