Who says English class is just about books and essays? Mrs. Queen’s students took a journey back to Ancient Greece as they explored the fascinating world of Greek gods and goddesses! 🏺📚
Students were randomly assigned a Greek god or goddess and became the class expert on their deity. They researched their figure’s mythology, powers, symbols, stories, and significance before sharing what they discovered with their classmates through a creative presentation. 🎤🔎
But the learning didn’t stop there! Students also created an “ancient artifact” representing their assigned deity. 🏺🛡️⚡ These artifacts gave students a creative way to connect the myths and symbols they researched with something tangible.
From mythology and research to public speaking and creativity, students were practicing important skills while discovering that stories from thousands of years ago still have plenty to teach us today!

Who knew history class could turn into a courtroom drama?! 👩⚖️📚
Mr. Wise’s class put Christopher Columbus on trial! 🌎⛵️
👨⚖️ Judge: Mr. Wise
👩⚖️ Jury: Mrs. Conner’s class
🧑⚖️ Attorneys & Witnesses: The students in Mr. Wise’s class
The students had to present evidence, make their arguments, and use what they’ve learned about Columbus and his voyages to prove or disprove whether Christopher Columbus was guilty of the charges against him. 📜🔎
Meanwhile, Mrs. Conner’s class had the very important job of listening to the evidence and serving as the jury. Talk about taking history seriously! 😂

👶💚 Learning by Experience in Child Development! 💚👶
What does it really feel like to carry the extra weight of pregnancy? Our Child Development students got a hands-on opportunity to find out by wearing a pregnancy belly simulator!
Through this activity, students experienced some of the physical challenges associated with pregnancy, including changes in balance, posture, movement, and everyday activities. It’s one thing to learn about pregnancy from a textbook—but experiencing a simulation can help students better understand the physical demands and changes that come with it.

✔️ Exploring how pregnancy can affect movement and balance
✔️ Developing empathy and awareness
✔️ Connecting classroom content to real-life experiences

A trip to the fair is more than rides and funnel cakes—it’s an opportunity for students to observe, explore, ask questions, and make real-world connections. From agriculture and animals to food, technology, art, and local traditions, the fair offers a hands-on look at many of the things students learn about in school. 🌾🔍📚
Of course, there was plenty of fun along the way! 🎢😄
